The Lebanon Valley rail-trail provides a much-needed, close-to-home recreational resource suitable for a wide variety of uses which appeal to a broad cross-section of our community. The trail is located in close proximity to the following points of interest: Lebanon and Cedar Crest High Schools, the Lebanon Expo Center and Fairgrounds, Cornwall Furnace, Governor Dick Recreation Area, and the State Game Lands. The trail has the potential to link with other projects such as the Union Canal Greenway and Swatara State Park.

Description:
The Board of County Commissioners constitutes the chief governing body of the county. Statutory authority of the Commissioners is primarily of an administrative nature with legislative or policy-making powers. The County Commissioners are, in effect, the business managers of the county. The corporate powers of the county are vested in the commissioners; they have custody of the official seal; and legal process against the county is served upon them. Regularly scheduled meetings to transact county business are held every first and third Thursday of the month in Room 207 of the Lebanon County-City Municipal Building, beginning at 9:30 A.M.

Description:
HAUCK MEMORIAL LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES: The Hauck Memorial Library and Archives serves as a repository of the County’s historical and maintains and preserves manuscripts, photographs and prints, municipal and county records, maps, sound and video recordings and genealogical materials that are accessible to Society members and the public. STOY MUSEUM: The Stoy Museum’s extensive collection of objects and artifacts is currently on view to the public. Exhibit highlights include fine examples from 19th and early 20th Century: a pharmacy, general store, parlor, toy shop, ladies’ fashions and more. Military history enthusiasts will enjoy various memorabilia from the Revolutionary War through WWII, with emphasis on the Civil War and the 93rd PA Volunteer Infantry. Antique fire-fighting equipment, Coleman Family items, as well as many other displays help illustrate the history of our county.
